Rhonda Mouton Kibodeaux

August 1, 1969 — December 1, 2010

Rhonda Mouton Kibodeaux, 41, of Lake Charles went home to her Lord and savior Wednesday, December 01, 2010 following a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer.


Mrs. Kibodeaux was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. She attended Iowa High School and was a graduate of Victory Baptist Academy. She attended a local Technical Training Institute. She worked twenty years as a Medical Transcriptionist for several local Physicians' and also out of her home. Mrs. Kibodeaux enjoyed swimming, fishing, shopping and browsing flea markets. She especially enjoyed "spoiling her baby dog", the 2nd love of her life, Maggie Mae, her Longhaired Chihuahua. Her greatest times were those she shared with her family. Mrs. Kibodeaux was a devoted Christian woman and a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God.


She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Wesley Joseph Kibodeaux; her parents, Dennis John and Barbara Fontenot Mouton; one brother, Dennis James Mouton and wife Kristy, all Lake Charles; two step children; Melissa Pierce and husband Randy (Boone) of Baton Rouge and Zackary Kibodeaux of Sulphur; grandmothers; Rose Fruge Mouton and Cecile Deshotel Fontenot, both of Lake Charles; mother- in- law, Shirley Moody of Vinton; two nieces, Kaitlyn Mouton of Sulphur and Karlie Duplechain of Lake Charles; one nephew, Dillon Mouton of Lake Charles and many friends.


She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Floyd Mouton, Sr. and Gaise Fontenot; god father, Ray Mouton and uncle Floyd Mouton, Jr.


Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, December 03, 2010 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Stephen Perry will officiate. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation Thursday will be from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue Friday from 8:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.


Rhonda's friends have gathered a team, "TEAM MAGGIE MAE" to walk together in Rhonda's honor for the Pancreatic Cancer Walk on Saturday.
