Richard Arlen Hewitt, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Richard Hewitt, Sr., 76, of Sulphur, will be held at 2pm, Tuesday, May 4, 2010 in Our Lady LaSalette Catholic Church. Rev. Jim Winiarski will officiate. Burial will follow in Big Woods Cemetery, Edgerly. Visitation will begin on Monday, May 03, 2010 from 5pm " 9pm with a Rosary at 6pm, and resume on Tuesday, May 4th from 8am until time of service. Mr. Hewitt passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2010 in a local care center. He was met at the gates of Heaven by his parents Ola Richard and Anna Mae Hewitt; Sister Anna Claire Leithead. He was a member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church and served his Country in the United States Navy. He loved to play golf, but his passion was to fish. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years: Carol Hewitt, of Sulphur; Son: Richard Hewitt, Jr., of Phoenix, AZ; 2 Daughters: Judith Lawrence, of Lake Charles; Edith Benoit, of Lake Charles; 3 Grandchildren: Heather Hewitt, Ryan & Matthew Lawrence; 2 Great Grandchildren: Justice & Parrish; Sister: Zoe Guidry, of Sulphur; 2 Brothers: Sam Hewitt, of Sulphur; Robert Hewitt, of Hackberry; The mother of his children: Helen Stroddard, of Lake Charles along with a host of other family & friends.
