Richard "Butch" James Barnes, Jr.

Richard James “Butch” Barnes, Jr., 73, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2017 at his home.  Butch retired from PPG Industries after 35 plus years.  He was a lifelong member of Frasch Park Golf Course where he loved to golf.  He was proud of his three holes in one that he made on that golf course.  Butch was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. 

Butch is survived by his wife Brenda Ardoin Barnes; his children, Tina McFarland and husband, Brad, Rodney McInnis, Jim Barnes and wife, Tracy and Chris Barnes and wife, Kim; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; his sisters, Jeanie Ellender and husband, Herman and Sheryl Welch and husband, Donnie; his brother, Bobby Barnes and wife, Bridgett; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was recently preceded in death by his parents, Richard, Sr. and Lillie Mae Barnes. 

Services for Butch will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 12 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur with Father Edward Richard officiating.  Burial will follow in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 10 am until the time of service with a rosary being recited at 10:30 AM.
