Richard Ingalls, 64, of Lake Charles died Tuesday, February 25, 2014 in his residence. Mr. Ingalls was born on May 17, 1949 in Jennings, LA to Aubrey and Louise Ingalls. He graduated from USL with a degree in Business Administration in 1974. Mr. Ingalls was a graduate of Jennings High School Class of 1967. He enjoyed officiating high school football games, Soccer games, and Little League baseball games. He loved playing golf and being a golf marshal. Mr. Ingalls was a highly decorated Veteran, he received a Bronze Air Medal on May 21, 1969, a Silver Star on April 28, 1969, and a Purple Heart on May 13, 1969. Mr. Ingalls served in the Army in Vietnam as Sergeant from 1967 until November 30, 1970. Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Julie Boudreaux Ingalls, three children, Richard Seth Ingalls of Lafayette, Kristen Ingalls and husband Michael Poast of Cincinatti, OH, and Kathleen Ingalls of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Griffin and Olivia Poast and Greta Ingalls; two brothers, Gerald Ingalls of Huntsville, NC and Eugene Ingalls of Wimberely, TX, and loving mother-in-law, Yvonne Rogers Clay. He is preceded in death by his parents. His Memorial Service will be at 12:00 PM Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings, LA. Visitation will be Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 9:00 AM until time of service at Miguez Funeral Home. Burial of cremains will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Jennings, LA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association or Junior Golf Association.
