Richard Eugene Vanslyke

Richard Eugene Vanslyke, 67, of Sulphur, LA passed away on October 29,2020 in a local care facility.

Richard was born in Westlake, LA to Glenn and Ruther Vanslyke. He enjoyed commercial fishing all of his life including oystering, crabbing, and shrimping. He also loved being around friends and family, gardening, and visiting with everyone he met.

Those left to cherish his memory are his three loving children, Richard Wayne Vanslyke, Wattie Eugene Vanslyke, and Rebekah Ruth Vanslyke; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; three sisters; one brother; and four aunts.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Warren Vanslyke and Ruther Lee West Vanslyke.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Monday November 2, 2020 at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will begin from 10:00 AM until time of service on Monday, November 2, 2020 at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Burial will be at Farquhar Cemetery. Pastor Marcus Wade will officiate services.
