Richard Murray Goolsby

Richard M. Goolsby was born in Alexandria to Mr. and Mrs. Carl (Thelma) Goolsby. He was a heavy equipment operator and a lifelong resident of Sulphur. To his surrounding area he was considered the “Community Neighborhood Watch”. Richard loved visiting and socializing with everyone.  Richard was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.

 Richard is survived by his daughter, Tricia Goolsby Sonnier Bobbitt of Sulphur; his son, Billy Goolsby of Sulphur; 8 grandchildren, Dalton, River, Sadie, Cody, Kadence, Zac, Brantley and Robert ”Peanut”;  and 1 great grandchild, McKinna Dale Sonnier;  and his brother, Gary Goolsby of Lake Charles. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother Robert Goolsby.

 Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson and Robison Funeral. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
