Richard Paul Lemonia

Richard Paul Lemonia, 49, of Fenton died at 7:00 AM on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at a friend's home in Sulphur, LA.


Richard was born in Lafayette, Louisiana and lived in Fenton all of his life. He attended Fenton High School. Richard worked as a laborer for Turner Industries for over 20 years. He loved playing with electronic games in his spare time. He also enjoyed spending time with all of his family. He was a faithful friend and was there when you needed him. Richard was a member of Greater St. Joseph Baptist Church in Fenton where he participated in the parking lot ministry.


He is survived by his mother Marina Bellow Lemonia of Fenton, LA, three brothers Calvert Lemonia and wife Shirley of Fenton, LA, Bradley Lemonia of Welsh, LA, and Felton Lemonia, Jr. of Fort Worth, TX, four sisters, Marcellia LeDay and husband Clifford of Lake Charles, Deborah Dickens of Fenton, LA, Mary Coleman and husband Glenneth, Sr. of Lake Charles, and Barbara Jenks and husband Chaney of Lake Charles, and special friend Julia Dixson of Sulphur and her children Joshua Dixson and his wife Jennifer and Travis Malbrough and wife Tiffany. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Yolanda Lemonia of Welsh, LA and Tracy Lemonia of Ennis, TX and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.


He is preceded in death by his father Felton Lemonia, Sr. and his Godparents, Edward Lemonia and Betty Lemonia.


His funeral will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 12:00 PM at Greater St. Joseph Baptist Church in Fenton, LA under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Rev Arnold Wykoff will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Fenton. Visitation will begin on Saturday at 8:30 AM until the time of services.
