Richard "Rick" Williams

Richard “Rick” Williams was born on January 5th, 1955 in Leesville, LA, and passed away at his home in Lake Charles on Friday, August 6th, 2021 at the age of 66 after a brief battle with cancer.

Rick led a storied career as a Logistics Manager for ExxonMobil that spanned over 35 years and allowed him to travel across the globe and experience the world. Much of his time was spent in Western Africa, where he left a lasting impact through organizing charity tournaments and helping local community groups. In retirement, he enjoyed traveling across the country with his wife Lydia and his furry companion, Noble. 

Rick was a dedicated provider, a loving husband, father, grandfather, a trustworthy friend, and a kind soul.

Rick was preceded by his father, Tommy Williams. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Lydia Williams; son, Rion Williams and his wife Katie; two grandchildren, Gray and Riley Williams; mother, Betty Cooley; brother, Randy Williams; two stepbrothers, Bobby and Tommy Cooley and countless friends and relationships across the world.

Memorial services will be held at Simple Traditions in Lake Charles, LA on Thursday, August 12th at 12:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or MD Anderson Cancer Center.
