Ricky Layne Lambert

Ricky Layne Lambert, 62, of Sulphur passed away Friday February 17, 2023. 

Ricky was a member and Finance Officer for Sons of American Legion Sqd. 179 of Sulphur, LA. He followed his father’s career and worked as an operator of civil heavy equipment for 48 years in SWLA for various companies in the lake area.

To cherish his memories, Ricky is survived by his wife, Annie; two children, Kirby Lambert and Kirk Lambert (Courtney) of Sulphur; grandchildren, Wesley Lambert, Piper Reeves, and Ambreah, Kelsie, and Josh; Godchildren, Kayla, Isybella, and Dayton Carroll and Brycelynn Vincent; four brothers, John Thibodeaux (Martha) of Moss Bluff, Gerald Lambert (Wanda)  of Westlake, Dean Lambert (Elaine) of Westlake, Randy Lambert of Ragley; four sisters, Sharon Lyles of Moss Bluff, Peggy Thigpen (Donald) of Westlake, Connie Smith (Gene) of DeQuincy, and Tammy Lambert of Westlake; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy & Evanna Lambert; sister, Royleen Desjardine; brother, Don Lambert: and grandsons, Kane and Keaton Lambert.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, February 20, 2023 in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel.  Burial will follow in Black Bayou Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM and continue until the start of the service.
