Richard Ricky Wayne Tupper went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 11, 2013. Rick, as he was known by his friends, was born on December 28, 1956, to Richard and Patsy Tupper who now reside in Georgetown, Texas.
Ricky retired from Sasol after working for twenty years as an operator and then as a machinist.
Ricky was known for his laughter and for his love for having fun. He could be found on most days at his swimming pool enjoying the sun. He was an avid LSU football fan and loved to ride his Harley and watch NASCAR on television. Ricky was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was always ready to share his faith to anyone who would listen.
Ricky is survived by his parents; one daughter, Samantha Tupper Rider and husband Shannon of Lake Charles; two sisters, Vicky Montalbano and husband Pat of Lake Charles, and Pam Farrell and husband Nick of Roundrock, Texas. He is also survived by one brother, Mike Tupper and wife Laurette of Mooresvile, North Carolina. Ricky had two grandchildren, Evan Savoy and Chace Rider. Ricky had numerous nieces and nephews who were dear to him.
Ricky is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents along with his brother, Keith Tupper.
Visitation for Ricky will be on Saturday, April 13, from 2:00 until 6:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Sunday, April 14, from 10:00 am until the start of the service. Services will be at 2:00 in the chapel at Johnson Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Greg Bath. Interment will be at Consolata Cemetery.
