Rita Kay Gary

Rita Kay Gary, 73, passed from this life on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at a local care facility. A life-long Catholic, Rita was born in Marshall, TX. on June 25,1949, as an only child to James and Carmen Gary. Ms. Rita Kay had a deep devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor. She loved opera music, collecting stamps, and visiting the casinos. Ms. Rita Kay traveled with her family and loved the mountains. She was blessed with a deep spirit and possessed a child-like innocence that captivated those who knew her. Ms. Rita Kay was born with a virtuous heart and a smile that could brighten any room. Those who met her soon loved her. 
Those left to cherish Rita’s memory are her aunts, Maria Banchs of North Carolina, Eligio Madina of Texas, Linda and Jo Dee Gary; her cousins, Manuel, Eliza, Yolanda, Raddie, Jamie, Camille, Willie, Cathy, Jill, Lori, and Spencer. 

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, James and Carmen Gary.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. A Rosary will be said before the mass at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery South under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Father Edward J. Richard, M.S. will officiate.
