Robbie Lee Carlisle, 75, of Moss Bluff, LA died at 11:18 AM on Thursday, June 13, 2013 in a local hospital.
Mr. Carlisle was born October 18, 1937 in Mittie, LA. He worked as a carpenter all his life and was a twenty-two year rodeo veteran. He also enjoyed stock car racing and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Carpenters Local and loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
Mr. Carlisle is survived by his children, Kim Reeves and husband Brian, Missie Carlisle and husband David Nichols, Dena Fairchild and husband Eddie, Lisa Chaumont and husband David, and Buster Carlisle and wife Tara; grandchildren, Shawnya Fontenot and husband Tommy, Tony Reeves, Kayci Carlisle, Jodee Jordan and husband Ricky, Lakin Strickland, Garret, Conner, and Tony Chaumont, and Baily and Cole Sullivan; and great-grandchildren, Peyton, Kylie, Anna Claire, Colburn, and Steely.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Shelby and Elsie Harper Carlisle; and sisters, Ruby Cormier and Lou Bee Carlisle Deaton.
His funeral service will be 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the Shiloh Baptist Church in Dry Creek, LA. Reverend Wayne Dartez will officiate. Burial will follow in Shiloh Baptist Cemetery in Dry Creek, LA. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
Pallbearers for the service will be Tony Reeves, Tommy Fontenot, Ricky Jordan, Gerald Sherrick, Scott LeDoux and Maurice Harper.
