Robert Bobby Louis Theriot

Robert Bobby Louis Theriot, 68, of Moss Bluff died at 2:15 PM, Saturday, June 15, 2013 at M.D. Anderson.

Bobby was born in Moss Bluff on December 19, 1944 to the parents of Nellie and Herman Theriot. He was one of the first graduates of Sam Houston High School in 1962. Bobby worked as a Carman in the railroad industry for over 33 years working for Union Pacific and Southern Pacific Railroad. He won many safety awards over the years. Bobby was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church where he also served as an usher for many years. He loved coaching his daughters in softball. Bobby enjoyed spending time with his family being a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda Stutes Theriot of Moss Bluff, LA three daughters: Dana Devillier and husband Danny of Moss Bluff, LA, Dona Foster and husband Robin of Livonia, LA, and Shannah Moses and husband Shannon of Longville, LA, one brother, Vernon Paul Theriot and his wife Irene of Moss Bluff, LA, seven grandchildren: Tela Lambert and husband Dusty, Ashley O'Neal and husband Tim, Amanda Prazak and husband Chris, Lori Foster and fiance' Charles Landry, Dillon Foster, Tyler Moses, and Taylor Moses, six great grandchildren: Tanner, Xander, Lily Lambert, Ella O'Neal, Lexis and Hayden Prazak.

Bobby is also survived by a special group of men called the Geritol Gang.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Wanda Reeves and Nina Mixon, and one brother, Warren Theriot.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Theodore Catholic Church in Moss Bluff. Monsignor Charles Dubois will officiate. Burial will be in Old Ritchie Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Monday at 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM in the funeral home. A rosary will be recited on Monday at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue at 9:00 AM on Tuesday at St. Theodore Catholic Church until the time of services.
