Robert Charles Pinch, 56, of Grand Chenier, LA died at 7:00 PM on Monday, May 19, 2014 in his residence. Bobby was born September 9, 1957 in Lake Charles, LA, was a 1975 graduate of South Cameron High School, and attended McNeese State University for Offshore Management. He received the Rod Landry Memorial Award in high school and was active in wrestling, track, football, and softball. His first job was for Crain Brothers and seasonal as a guide on Little Pecan Hunting Club for a number of years. He began his work in the natural gas industry in 1977 for Michigan Wisconsin and later became ANR Pipeline. He was currently employed for Trunkline LNG as a Mechanical Technician since 2001. Bobby was a member of St. Eugene Catholic Church and Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Quarter Horse Association, Braford Association, Paint Horse Association, Angus Association, and the NRA. He was also a volunteer fireman for Grand Chenier and for the Cameron Parish Civil Defense. Bobby loved his wife, children, grandchildren, horses and cows. He also enjoyed cooking, hunting and fishing and will be remembered as the life of a party. He loved spending time with his family and never met a stranger. Bobby is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Norma Cheramie Pinch; mother, Dora Mae Pinch of Grand Chenier; daughter, Casi Cherami Pinch and partner Brian Smith, of Grand Chenier; son, Robert Nicklaus Pinch and fiancée Jessi Collins of Moss Bluff; sister, Mary Kaye Allemond and husband Al of Lake Charles; brother, Billy Pinch and wife Bertie of Welsh, LA; sister-in-law, Phyllis Savoie Pinch of Roanoke; grandchildren, Gracie, Harlow, and Gia; and a number of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, William John Pinch; brother, Patrick Pinch; and parents-in-law, Norman J. and Laura Cheramie. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 23, 2014 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Monsignor Harry Greig will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
