Robert LeBert, 74, of Westlake died at 4:56 PM on Monday, February 3, 2014 in a local hospital. Mr. LeBert was born on October 20, 1939 in Lake Charles and moved to Westlake 47 years ago. He attended McNeese State University before becoming a carpenter until retiring. Mr. LeBert belonged to the Carpenter's Local #953. He was dedicated to his family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially his grandchildren. Mr. LeBert was a loving and caring husband and father and will be sorely missed. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 54 ½ years, Terry Cole LeBert of Westlake; five children and their spouses, Ronald LeBert and Debra of Westlake, Larry LeBert and Dina of Westlake, Jeff LeBert and Donna of Rogers, AR, Melinda Aucoin and Brian of Moss Bluff, and Diana Fultz and Michael of Sulphur; a sister, Barbara Nevils and husband Buddy of Westlake; sixteen grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Azamae Arabie Lavergne; his father, Harry LeBert; and his step father, Odell Lavergne. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 7, 2014 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Jeff LeBert and Kevin Lawson will officiate. Burial will follow in Westlake Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Thursday from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM and will continue on Friday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
