Robert Monceaux, Sr.

Robert Monceaux Sr., 74, of Lake Charles, LA, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015 in a local hospital. Robert was born on August 20, 1940 in Pineville, LA to Odey and Helena Monceaux. Robert loved playing music, telling jokes, and being around family and friends. He also enjoyed reading the bible and led many people to know the Lord. He is survived by five children, Rachel Lynn Crossland and husband Travis of Paris, TX, Robert Monceaux Jr. and wife Renee of Moss Bluff, LA, Tammy Benoit and husband Tim of Sulphur, LA, Elizabeth Campbell and husband Charles of Sulphur, LA, and Cevin Monceaux and wife Sarah of Sulphur, LA; twelve grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Agnes Monceaux; two grandchildren; and two siblings, Clifton Monceaux and twin sister at birth. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Broussard Cemetery in Lacassine, LA. Rev. Phil Cochran will officiate services.
