Robert "Robbie" Hebert

March 7, 1937 — June 12, 2024

Robert “Robbie” C. Hebert of Westlake passed away on June 12, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Jennings, La. and graduated from Westlake High School in 1958. After graduation Robert enlisted in the Navy Reserves and attended McNeese State University before being employed by GSU/Entergy as an operator for Nelson Station. He enjoyed R.V. camping and exploring the historical monuments across the United States. Robert had many interests such as, “but not limited to”, woodworking, metallurgy, small mechanics, and musical instruments, building and repairing them. He would enter the sailing regattas at the Lake Charles Yacht Club in the small crafts division and won many awards. Robert often boasted that he was “his own master and crew”. He loved his family and friends and was a man with countless interest and knowledge. Robert was respected and loved by all that knew him.

Those left to cherish the memory of Robert are his loving wife of 63 years, Patricia “Pat” Tower Hebert; daughter, Toni Diane Kennedy (Kurt); son, Travis Shelton Hebert (Heather); grandsons, Ryan Adam Kennedy (Andrea), Keelan Scott Hebert, Karson Shane Hebert; granddaughter, Alexandra Elizabeth Smith (Drew); great-grandson, Archer Adam Kennedy; brothers, Richard A. Hebert, Don D. Hebert; sister, Patricia E. Guillot.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Austin “Foots” Willie Hebert and Lucille Kelley Hebert; sister, Joan E. Hebert.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 19, 2024 from 5-8 pm at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Services will be on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at the funeral home at 10 am with Rev. Tm Merret officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Westlake Memorial Cemetery.

The family would like to give special thanks to Lisa M Sonnier and Kala Duplechain with Home Care and the staff of Stonebridge Place Assisted Living Facility in Sulphur, La. for their care and support during this time.
