Robert Sheffield

Robert Windsor Sheffield, 71, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2014 surrounded by his family. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Hackberry United Methodist Church in Hackberry, LA at 2:00 p.m. Mr. Sheffield was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a teacher for the Cameron Parish School Board for 33 years. He started at Johnson Bayou High School and transferred to Hackberry High School in 1971 until his retirement in 1999. Mr. Sheffield was a history teacher who was adored by the faculty and students throughout his career. Mr. Sheffield also worked for Pizza Hut for 20 years. Mr. Sheffield is survived by his wife of 43 years, Donna Burk Sheffield; two sons, Craig (Michelle) Sheffield of Catheys Valley, California and Eric (Charlotte Gass) Sheffield of Sulphur; one daughter, Kathleen Sheffield of Sulphur; and three grandchildren, Kaeli and Westley Sheffield of Catheys Valley, California and Allyson Sheffield of Sulphur, LA; and one sister, Dani Sheffield of The Woodlands, Texas. Mr. Sheffield was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Neva Sheffield; and one sister, Cheryl Sheffield. Memorial donations may be made to M. D. Anderson Prostate Cancer Research.
