Robert Wayne Granger, 67, of Sweet Lake, LA died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. Mr. Granger graduated from Grand Lake High School and served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era. He worked for the Army Corp of Engineers. He had a love of fishing, hunting and everything outdoors. Mr. Granger also enjoyed Cajun cooking and will always be remembered for his patience. Mr. Granger is survived by his loving wife, Diane Granger; step-son, Eric Rosteet and wife Kelly; step-daughter, Emma Vidacovich and husband Robbie; brothers, Tommy Granger and wife Linda, Johnny Granger and wife Susan, and Bryan Granger and Janet Fontenot; sisters, Bonnie Chiasson, Debbie Ogea and husband John, and Dolores Aguillard and husband Kevin; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one on-the-way.; and a large number of loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John C. and Enola Granger. His funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 22, 2014 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Monsignor Harry Greig will officiate. Burial will be in Granger Cemetery in Grangerville, LA. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
