Robert William Schuller

Robert William Schuller, 51, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 6:15 PM on Monday, November 18, 2019 in a local care facility.

Mr. Schuller was born June 15, 1968 in Freedom, PA, where he graduated from Freedom High School and later graduated from McNeese State University.  He served his country for four years in the U.S. Army, the Army National Guard and then served in the U.S. Marine Corp for ten years.  Once he retired from the military due to disabilities, he moved to Lake Charles from Quantico, VA and worked many years in local law enforcement. He was a member of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church and attended Glad Tidings Assembly of God.  Mr. Schuller always put his family first and was very active with his children’s activities throughout the years.

Mr. Schuller is survived by his wife, Rachel Rodriguez-Schuller; children, Alexis Schuller, PFC Keegan Schuller, Xander Schuller, Addison Rodriguez and Ashton Rodriguez; his in-laws, Garry and Loretta Tilley; brother-in-law, Ross Tilley; nieces and nephews, Mary Briancesco, Julia Dukes, Darien Dukes, Jr., and Isabella Tilley, and their families; along with numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Margaret Schuller; sister, Candy Lynn Schuller; and a niece, Suzanne Schuller.

His funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on  Friday, November 22, 2019 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.  Reverend Gary Evers and Reverend Philip Shelley will officiate.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and continue on Friday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.  A private inurnment will be at a later date at St. Michael and All Angels, under the direction of Father Seth Donald.
