"Lamar" Roberto Dillon Mighty, 24, of Lake Charles, LA died at 6:24 PM on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at a local hospital.
Roberto was born March 15, 1987 in Jamaica and has lived in Lake Charles for almost six years. He was a graduate of St. Mary High School in Jamaica and was a student at Sowela Technical School. While living in Jamaica, he worked as a firefighter. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where he was a member of the Young Single Adult Program. He loved music, his church, and his family.
Roberto is survived by his mother, Gatina Wright Lawrence; two brothers, Omar Marlon Allen and Gibran Orion Henry; niece, Alexandria Allen, all of Lake Charles; aunts, Rosita Asare of TX and Yvonne Haywood of Jamaica; uncles, David Wright of Jamaica and James Wright of Connecticut; and close friends, Myrtle Fowler, Chantal and Marcell, Evelyn Anderson, and Gareth Crosdale.
His funeral service will be at 12:00 PM on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Bishop Aaron Young will officiate. Cremation will follow under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
