Roderick "Dreek" David Owen

Roderick "Dreek" David Owen, 36, of Lake Charles died on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 in his residence. Dreek was born on October 17, 1976 in Fort Polk, LA and lived in Lake Charles most of his life. He was a 1995 graduate of Barbe High School. Dreek was a well known local tattoo artist having worked at Ultimate Image for ten years and currently at Atomic Heart Tattoo. He was an artist at heart and also enjoyed comic books and movies He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving parents, Gwen and Red Owen of Deridder; a sister, Dana Owen Youngblood and husband Wade of Moss Bluff; a niece, Madison Youngblood; a nephew, Dylan Youngblood; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A celebration of Dreek's life will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 15, 2013 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Tony Bourque will lead the life celebration. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 11:00 AM and will continue until the start of the celebration.
