Rodie D. Kelley

January 17, 1963 — July 6, 2012

Rodie D. Kelley, 49, of Longville, died July 6, 2012 in Westlake from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.


He was born in Phoenix, Arizona to Joe and Cathy Anderson Kelley. After his graduation in 1982 from Sam Houston High School, he honorably served in the United Stated Air Force and currently was employed as a security supervisor at L'Auberge du Lac in Lake Charles. Rodie was a Christian by faith and a true patriot. He enjoyed spending time with his family, the outdoors, the old west, "real" country music and historical facts.


He was preceded in death by his parents. Those left to cherish his memories are two sisters, Kris Kelley Brewer and husband Andrew of Lake Charles and Robyn Kelley Kibodeaux and Husband Ken, of Moss Bluff; three nieces, Morgan Vinson, Karley Vinson and Alexa Kibodeaux; an aunt, Jan Fenton, Millcreek, WA; and many cousins and friends.


Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM today and from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Monday, with funeral services being at 1:00 Monday at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Chris Fuselier will officiate. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley, LA.
