Rodney James Broussard

Rodney James Broussard, 70, of Vinton passed away on July 20, 2015 in his residence surrounded by his family. Rodney enjoyed fishing, playing his guitar, and spending time with his grandkids. Rodney is survived by his wife of 50 years Stella Leger Broussard of Vinton; two sons, Robbie and Lynn Broussard of Edgerly and Randy and Lauren Broussard of Carlyss; three daughters, Rhonda and Glenn Berry of Sulphur, Rena Fenetz of Edgerly and Rozilind and Scott Rosteet, Jr. of Sulphur; 3 sisters, Norma "Sis" Allemand and, Joyce Logue both of Sulphur and Charmaine Smith of Carlyss; 3 brothers, Mike and Lacy Broussard both of Edgerly and Mark Broussard of Sulphur; 10 grandchildren, Rodney James II, Jonathan , Jacob, Joseph and Joshua Berry, Savanah "Nana-Boo" Fenetz, Kinzley and Lyvie "Lou Lou" Rosteet, Henry and Rhett Daigle; 3 great-grandchildren, Scott, Gavin and Lily Berry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 10 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vinton with Father Aubrey Guilbeau officiating. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 from 4-9 P.M. with a rosary at 6 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will continue at 8 A.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home until time of leaving for the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
