Roger Ben Vandenberg

Roger Ben Vandenberg, 61, passed away on Monday September 26, 2016 at a local health care facility.

Ben was born in Brookings, South Dakota on September 12, 1955 to Daniel Vandenberg and Emma Wagnaar Vandenberg. Ben was a loving and caring husband, father, brother and friend.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Howard Vandenberg.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory is his loving wife of 13 years Jillaine Whitney Vandenberg of Lake Charles, LA; son, Travis Vandenberg of Lake Charles, LA; 3 sisters, Eileen Smith of Sacramento, CA, Elanor Vandenberg of Volga, SD and Lorna and husband Peter Squyer of Lead, SD; brother, Todd Vandenberg of Lake Charles, LA and 1 grandson, Reed.

A memorial service will be held in South Dakota at a later date.

The family would like to extend a special appreciation to Candice Holmes, Dawn Broussard and all the staff at Christus Home Care.
