Roland Joseph Stoute, 91, of Lake Charles passed away at 8:43 AM on Sunday, October 11, 2020 while evacuated in Welsh, LA.
Mr. Stoute was born on October 30, 1928 in Erath, LA where he was raised. He moved to Lake Charles in 1949 where he was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church and belonged to the Knights of Columbus. He was also a charter member of the Southwest Fishing Club. Mr. Stoute retired from Dubois Sheet Metal.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was known for his excellent craftsman skills and his ability to fix any and everything.
Those left to cherish his memory are his brother, Tyrone Stoute; daughters, Chris Stoute (Nancie) and Rebecca Stutes (Richard); grandson, Michael Stutes (Leslie); six great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Stoute; grandson, Eric Stutes; parents, Aubrey and Destine Stoute; siblings, Ruvian Stoute, Florence Thibodeaux, and Della Fagan; and an infant son, Roland Stoute, Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel in Moss Bluff. Monsignor Charles Dubois will officiate. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and continue until the rosary begins at 11:30 AM. Burial will be held at Prien Memorial Park Cemetery on Friday.
