Romona Wall

Romona Rose “Mona” Wall, 95, of Lake Charles, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at a local care facility. Mona was born in Krotz Springs, LA. on February 13, 1929, to Clint and Stella Richard.

Mona met the Love of her Life, James, at the baseball field and spent many years after that watching him coach various little league teams. They spent 59 wonderful years experiencing life together enjoying walks and their daily lunch dates. She looked forward to spending time with her children and grandchildren especially for the holidays.

Mona is survived by her loving children Ellen Hebert and husband Kenneth, Scott Wall and wife Leeann, and Polly Thompson and husband Bobby. Her memory will be cherished by her grandchildren Kevin Wall and wife Pam, Elizabeth Cormier and husband Shane, Jared Hebert and wife Katie, and Amanda Thompson, as well as her great-grandchildren Alex, Blake, and Dylan Wall, Cadyn and Payton LeBert, and Whitley Cormier.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of fifty-nine years, James “Jim” Wall, Jr. and a grandson, Chad Wall.

A Rite of Christian Burial will be at 11:00AM on Monday, October 7, 2024, at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, 4321 Lake St. Lake Charles, LA. 70605. Entombment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 2:00PM until 5:00PM and continue Monday from 9:00AM until service time.
