Ronald Joseph Mcdowell

Ronald J. McDowell, 74, of Lake Charles, passed away at his home Friday, September 14, 2018.

Ron was born February 12, 1944 in Queens, New York. He and his wife, Anna, moved to Lake Charles, LA, in October 1993 with Grumman Aerospace Corporation.  He retired from Northrop-Grumman in 2004 as a supervisor. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and enjoyed volunteering at Abraham's Tent.  In his lifetime, he never refused to help anyone. He lived a full life surrounded by his family, friends and beloved pets.

Those left to cherish his memory are wife, Anna; sister, Dorothy (husband Dietmar); brother Henry; daughters Gail, Lynn (husband Thomas), Kim; granddaughters Brianna, Mary Kate, and Caroline.

The family would like to thank Drs. Singh and Gonzales of Las Vegas, and Drs. Michael Turner and Louise Becnel, and all those who prayed for him.

Services will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church on Saturday, September 22 : 11-12 noon for family; 12-3pm for public visitation; and 3-4 for church service; Interment at a future time at Pinelawn Cemetery, Farmingdale, New York.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association or St. John's Lutheran Church.
