Ronald Myers

Ronald Joseph Myers, 66, of Lake Charles, LA died Tuesday, August 12, 2014 in a local hospital. Ronald was born on October 08, 1947 in Lake Charles, LA to Nelson and Frankie Myers. He loved golfing, hunting, and camping. He was a member of William A. "Bill" Guillory American Legion POST 370 for 35 years. He served as Post Commander for 3 terms. He was a Vietnam Era Veteran of the USMC and was very active in the American Legion Baseball and all Veterans issues. He helped all who were in need. He is survived by his companion of 40 years, Molly Broussard; one daughter, Mary Alice Myers; two brothers, Charles Myers and Donald Myers both of Lake Charles; three sisters, Brenda Aucoin of Sulphur, Mona Green of Moss Bluff, and Trish Dickerson of Moss Bluff; three grand children, Rylee Prejean of Lafayette, Libby Myers and Annie Myers both of Estherwood. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Joey Myers; one sister, Vicki Myers. A visitation will be Friday, August 15, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
