Ronald "Ron" Harrington

Ronald Harrington 78, passed away on June 15, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on January 7, 1946, in Kaplan, LA, to Arnold and Edith Abshire Harrington.

Ron loved cooking, gardening, and fishing. He was an avid Saints fan, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Later in life, he enjoyed watching birds and building model trains.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Flo Harrington, his parents, and his siblings, Birdie Mallet and Duford Harrington.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 32 years Wanda Thibodeaux Harrington, his children: Scott (Joni) Harrington, Brigette (Anthony) Archuleta and Kacie (Ben) Pugh.  Grandchildren: Noelle (Tannon) DeJulio, Tyler Sanderford, Hannah (Brython) Cox, Wyatt Harrington, and Ryder Pugh. Great-grandchildren: Zayden Sanderford and Sawyer DeJulio.  Siblings: Donald (Vanessa) Harrington and Joyce Harrington

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Thursday, June 20, 2024, in St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin Wednesday evening, June 19, 2024, at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles, with a Rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume Thursday morning at 9:00 AM at Johnson Funeral Home with a procession to St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church for the 10:30 AM funeral mass.
