Ronald "Ron" Touchet

Ronald “Ron” Marshall Touchet, 70, of Lake Charles, LA, died at1:05 PM on Thursday, December 31, 2015 in a local care facility.

 

Mr. Touchet was born October 7, 1945 in Crowley, LA and was a 1965 graduate of Landry Memorial High School. He served twenty years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring in 1986. During his Air Force career, he lived in Spain for a year and a half and Alexandria, LA for a number of years. After retirement, he moved to Lake Charles, LA, and attended SOWELA Technical College. He worked at St. Margaret Catholic Church for a number of years and at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in housekeeping for sixteen years. Mr. Touchet was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church, where he served as an usher and was a past member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of American Legion Post #1.

 

Mr. Touchet is survived by his wife of forty years, Vicki Johnson Touchet of Lake Charles; brother, Michael Elmo Touchet and wife Loretta of Moss Bluff; sisters, Sheila Stroh of Lake Charles and Kathleen Lutz and husband Dennis of Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hilda and Elmo Touchet; and sister, Mary Eileen McGhee.

 

His funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at St. Margaret Catholic Church. Father Marcus Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM.
