Ronald Wayne Coleman

August 17, 1949 — November 28, 2020

On Saturday November 28, 2020, after enjoying a great bowl of shrimp gumbo, and watching the LSU game, Ronnie passed away in the comfort of his home.  The last few years he fought lung disease.  He fought hard, and in his own way kept us all still laughing.

“Ronnie”, “Grandpa”, “Daddy”, will be missed.  His wife of almost fifty years, Tricia Coleman, will miss him, her best friend forever.  His two daughters, Leslie Coleman Hammond and Erin Coleman Zeringue, will cherish the clever wit, of the gentle dad they loved so much.  Rodney Lawrence, the son he never had, will hold dear the wisdom his “Uncle Ron” instilled in him.  Ronnie felt comfort knowing Jason Zeringue and Brian Hammond took great care of his girls.  His love for his grandchildren, Coleman, Camille, Corinne, and Cooper Zeringue will never be forgotten.  The special loving bond he held with Gabriel Levingston, his grandchild, will forever be a connection no other person can fulfill.

Ronnie loved his two brothers, Ralph Bradford, and Doug Coleman, as well as their families.

Though his passing physically was easier than imagined, his family and friends, will miss him dearly.  He is at peace.  He is no longer in pain.  Ronnie passes his love to his family and friends.  He knows God will see them all through this.

A Memorial gathering will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org/donate.
