Ronald Wayne "Ronnie" Jung

Ronald "Ronnie" Wayne Jung, 70, of Lake Charles passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015 in a local hospital. Mr. Jung was born, raised and lived most of his life in San Antonio, TX and has lived the past twenty-five years in Lake Charles. He worked many years in the Construction Industry and his later years as a Custodian for the Calcasieu Parish School Board and Glad Tidings Assembly of God. Mr. Jung enjoyed woodworking and furniture making and his favorite past time was watching Westerns and Walker Texas Ranger. He will be most remembered for his love and devotion to his family and his "bear hugs". Mr. Jung was a Christian man and faithful member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God. He leaves to honor his memory, his loving wife of thirty years, Caroline Landry Jung of Lake Charles; four sons, Philip Jung and wife Mary of Carlyss, Michael James and wife Jennifer of Sulphur, Ronald Wayne (Jung, Jr.) Brown of Riverside, CA and Robert (Jung) Brown of Long Beach, CA; four granddaughters; two grandsons and two great-grandsons; one brother, Bill Jung and wife Wanda of Brooksport, IL and one sister, Sharon Jung of Brooksport, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar H. Jung and Mary Ellen Jung and one brother, Steve Jung. Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM Thursday, November 12, 2015 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Gary Evers will officiate. Visitation Thursday will be from 11:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home. The family of Mr. Jung wishes to express heartfelt thanks to the doctors and staff of Evangeline Home Health and Heart of Hospice for their excellence in care and compassion.
