Rosalie Ange Babineaux

Rosalie Ange Babineaux, 68, of Lake Charles, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2010 in the comfort of her home.

Mrs. Babineaux was a life resident of Lake Charles and a graduate of Marion High School. She worked seventeen years as a Loan Officer for CSE Credit Union before retiring. She enjoyed cooking and any occasion for a family gathering. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother whom took great pride in nurturing and guiding her family. She will be most remembered for her love of family and God.

Mrs. Babineaux was an Honorary Chairperson of the National Lung Cancer Partnership and a member of St. Martin dePorres Catholic Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband of 50 years, Robert Babineaux, Sr. of Lake Charles; three sons, Butch Babineaux and wife Julia of Pearland, TX, Glenn A. Babineaux and wife Kelly and Dennis W. Babineaux and wife Cheri, all of Lake Charles; two daughters, Sheila Newell and husband John and Lana Ellis and husband David, all of Lake Charles; twelve grandchildren, Matthew and Anna Babineaux, Kaitlyn, Sadie and Jaquelyn Newell, Nicholas and Hannah Babineaux, Justin, Jacob and Lacy Ellis and Olivia and Daltin Babineaux; one brother, Sam Ange and wife Barbara of Lake Charles and her mother- in- law, Etta Belle Babineaux of Lake Charles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Ange and Florence Ange LaCroix and an infant brother, Joseph Ange.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 7, 2010 in Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Father Keith Pellerin and Father Herbert May will officiate. Interment will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation Friday will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a scripture service and rosary beginning at 6:00 PM. Visitation Saturday will be from 8:00 AM until 12:30 PM in the funeral home.
