Rosalind Marie Wells

Rosalind (Roz) Marie Terry Wells, 54, of Lake Charles, LA died April 30, 2015. Rosalind was born on May 29, 1960 in Jennings, LA to Josephine (Leblanc) and Ralph Terry Sr. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and computer technology. She loved being around family and friends and was always known as a people person. She graduated from Jennings High School in 1978; and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communication from Grambling State University. She worked for the Sprint Corporation; Apple, Inc. Technology Company; and was currently employed by the Calcasieu Parish Public Library as the System Trainer. She was a shining star of the administrative team. Her coworkers will always remember her for her bright smile, willingness to help, and positive attitude. Roz believed that no matter what life gave you, you should not let, "Anyone hijack your happy or let anything steal your joy." Roz Wells served in many capacities in volunteer positions at Christian World. She was always willing to give more than expected. She served in the Nursery, as Children's World Operational Coordinator, and in Guest Services. Roz's love for Jesus and for people was contagious. Her laugh was infectious. Her smile brighten every room. While we know that there is a time appointed for each of us, we were certainly not ready to let her go. Only Jesus will help those of us who loved her so much to be able to accept His will and plan. For Christian World, Roz is irreplaceable. We loved her with all our heart. She was definitely one of the very best that we will have ever had an opportunity to serve with. She is survived by her husband, John Wells of Lake Charles, LA; two children, Dowanna Paynter and Janee' Wells; five brothers, Vernon Terry, Clyde Terry, Michael Terry, Tyrone Terry, and Eugene Terry; three grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She was especially appreciative of the second chance at life given to her by her niece, Velvet Terry. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ralph Terry, Jr. Services will be at 11:00am, Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Christian World. Visitation will be from 9:30am until11:00am, Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Christian World. Burial will be at Combre Memorial Park. Pastor Jerry Snider will officiate. A repast will be at Christian World following services.
