Rose Anna Micelle Louviere, 84, of Lake Charles died Thursday, February 13, 2014 in a Lake Charles Hospital. Mrs. Louviere was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles and a graduate of St. Charles Academy. She was a Office Manager in the family business, Micelle Meat Packing Plant and Micelle Commission Yard. She also worked at Crossroads Book Store for ten years. She was a long time member of Immaculate Conception Cathedral, however because of health issues over the last twelve years, she had attended Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. She was a member of the Amicus Club. Mrs. Louviere was well known for her annual presentation of the St. Joseph Altar, celebrating the feast of St. Joseph. She was a great cook and loved cooking delicious Italian meals and traveling. She was also a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and the true "rock" of the Micelle family and will be missed by everyone. Her parents, John and Angelina Micelle, three brothers, John Paul Micelle, Victor R. Micelle, and Morris A. Micelle, a grandson, Robert Gobert, and a great granddaughter, Laura Mitchell all preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of over sixty four years, Nelson Louviere; two sons, Randy Louviere and his wife Tina of Moss Bluff and Johnny Louviere and his wife Darcy of Vinton; one daughter, Susan Darbonne and her husband Ken of Sulphur; two brothers, Jerry Micelle and his wife Shirley and Frank J. Micelle of Lake Charles; a sister, Mary Jane Smith and her husband Jack of Lake Charles; and a sister-in-law, Sherry Micelle, of Lake Charles. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Jill Robinson and her husband Shane, Marcie Arceneaux and her husband Nick, Brent Louviere and his wife Donya, Blake Louviere and his wife Michelle, Chris Louviere and his wife Ashley, Dustin Louviere, Garrett Louviere, Tommy Louviere and his wife Heather, Christin LaFleur and her husband Andrew, Tracy Darbonne and his wife Heather, and Allen Darbonne; nineteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Louviere will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 17, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with the Rev. Alan Trouille officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM Sunday evening in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with a Cursillo Rosary at 6:30 PM. Visitation on Monday will be at the funeral home from 7:00 AM until 1:30 PM. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brent, Blake, Chris, Garrett, Logan and Tommy Louviere, Andrew Gobert, Mark Reeves, Landon Arceneaux, Shane and Gavin Robinson.
