Rose Mae Fruge Mouton

March 30, 1929 — April 3, 2012

Rose Mae Fruge Mouton, 83, of Lake Charles died Tuesday, April 03, 2012 in a local hospital.


Mrs. Mouton was born in Eunice raised in Lacassine and lived most of her life in Lake Charles. She enjoyed years of bowling on Tournament teams, crafts, bingo, Pokeno and playing cards with her friends. She also enjoyed countless fishing trips with her husband, sons and brothers. She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and served many years as a Catholic Daughter at Our Lady Queen of Heaven.


Mrs. Mouton will be most remembered as a woman of faith, devoted wife and loving mother.


She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Elaine Mouton Aquillard of Lake Charles; two sons, Dennis John Mouton and wife Barbara of Lake Charles and Charlie Mouton and wife Rubye of Westlake; daughter-in-law, Linda Mouton of Lake Charles; eleven grandchildren; thirty great-children; three sisters, Ester Francois of Eunice, Verna Bourgeois and husband Nelson of Lake Charles and Betty Josey of Vidor, TX and four brothers, Houston Fruge, Sr. of Sulphur, A.J. Fruge and Joe Cortez, both of Lake Charles and Johnny Fruge of Oakdale.


She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Floyd Mouton, Sr., three sons, Jackie Mouton, Ray Joseph Mouton and Floyd Mouton, Jr. and three brothers, Atlas, Dudley and Jimmy Fruge.


Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, April 06, 2012 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Charlie Langford will officiate. Interment will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation Thursday will be from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM with a rosary beginning at 6:00 PM. Visitation Friday will be from 8:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
