Rose Marie Hager Savage, age 70, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2010, at her residence in Moss Bluff, surrounded by her family.
Born June 4, 1940, in Lake Charles, she was catholic by faith. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Rose enjoyed the outdoors, cooking, and shopping. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Charles Savage of Moss Bluff; daughters Julie Savage of Moss Bluff, Peggy Thompson and husband, Ronald of Muldrow, OK, Penny Fox and husband, Chuck of Moss Bluff; a son, Jerry Savage of Moss Bluff; sisters Diane Brown and husband, Buddy of Spring, TX and Mary Ann Estre and husband, Richard of Beaumont; grandchildren Rebekah Savage of Westlake, Charles Savage of PA, Jessica Thompson of Muldrow, OK, and Jacob Fox of Moss Bluff.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Raymond Savage and Larry Savage.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at St. Theodore Catholic Church in Moss Bluff. Msgr. Charles Dubois will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 28, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary being prayed. The visitation will resume at the church on Wednesday, December 29, from 10 a.m. until time of service. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Michael Frumovitz of Houston, whom Rose loved, Dr. Jason Morris of Moss Bluff, and Dr. Alice Prestia of Lake Charles and their entire staff for the care they have given to Rose these past three years.
