Rose Marie Swire Miller

Rose Marie Swire Miller 77 of Hackberry, LA passed away on September 6, 2018 at a local hospice facility. Rose Marie was born on July 11, 1941 in Sulphur, LA to Jessie and Rose Louge Swire.

Marie, as she was known to her family and friends loved spending time with her family, listening to French Music and going to the Casino.

She is survived by her three children, Gary Miller, Gerald (Jennifer) Miller and Cheryl (Peanut) Whatley, all of Hackberry, LA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ty Miller, Cammy Gilley, Anthony Miller, Amanda Fewell, Steven Miller, Chip Whatley and D’Lain Sittig. She also leaves her great-grandchildren, Heidi Fewell, Fletcher Fewell, Baby Fewell, Malachi Miller, Benjamin Whatley and Kinsley Brown. Marie also leaves her brothers, Burt Swire, Wilson Swire, Eugene Swire, Earnest Swire and Junior Swire.

Marie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 22 years, Stanford Miller, her son Greg Miller and several siblings.

The family will receive friends at the Hackberry Baptist Church on Sunday, September 9 2018, beginning at 3PM. A Memorial Service will be held at 5PM in the church.

Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
