Ross Christopher Tremonte, Sr.

Ross Christopher Tremonte, Sr., 80, of Lake Charles died on Friday, September 14, 2012 in a local hospital.

Mr. Tremonte born on November 30, 1933 in Lake Charles, La and lived here all of his life. He was a graduate of Landry High School. Mr. Tremonte retired after 58 years from the Union Pacific as a locomotive engineer.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 63 years, Bonnie Tremonte of Lake Charles; two sons, Ross Nicholas Tremonte, Jr. of Conroe, TX and Charles Robert Tremonte of Kountze, TX; a sister, Rosalie Papania of Lake Charles; three grandchildren, Ross Nicholas Tremonte, III of Houston, TX, Nicole Lynn Bain of Sour Lake, TX, and Sarah Marie Harrington of Beaumont; two great grandchildren, Weston Michael Bain and Russell Lee Harrington.

A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 17, 2012 at St. Margaret Catholic Church. The Rev. Herbert May will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Sunday from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue in the funeral home on Monday from 8:00 AM until 12:30 PM.
