Roxie Marie Buckles

Roxie Marie Buckles, 50, of Duson, LA died at 1:45 PM on Saturday, September 20, 2014 in a Lafayette hospital. Mrs. Buckles was born on August 9, 1964 in Lake Charles where she was raised. She was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed gardening and flowers as well as reading. Mrs. Buckles will be remembered as always having a smile on her face and for being such a genuine caring person. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Robert Lee Buckles, Jr. of Duson, LA; her mother, Linda Moreno of Big Lake; four children, James Franklin, Jr. of Lake Charles, Tonia Richards and husband JJ of Ragley, Bobby Franklin, and Michael Franklin and wife Hillary both of Topsy; three siblings, Susan Roy Ardoin and husband Johnny of Lake Charles, Lee Perry, Jr. of Kinder, and Tammy Gaspard and husband JoJo of Big Lake; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She also leaves behind her adored animals. She was preceded in death by her father, Lee Allen Perry; a granddaughter; and her grandparents, Milton and Marjorie Roy. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 26, 2014 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Ronnie Estes will officiate. Cremation will follow services.
