Roy Lee Jones

Roy Lee Jones, 78, passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 in his residence.  He was born September 1, 1939 to Casey and Mary Una Abshire Jones in Sulphur, LA.  On October, 7, 1961 he married Barbara Guillory Jones in Eunice, LA at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.  Roy enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and spending time with his family. 

Roy is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara; his brother Elmer “Red” Jones of Sulphur; his children, Karen Jones Carrier and husband Howard of Vinton, LA, Kevin Jones of Houston, TX, Becky Jones McMillin of Vinton, LA, Edwin “Eddie” Jones and wife Karen Sue of Sulphur, LA and Angela Jones McBride and partner, Brent Nezat of Vinton, LA; 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Bobby Wayne Jones; and one grandson, Dylan Nezat. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 5-9 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with a rosary at 6 PM.   A Celebration of Life for Roy will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 7 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with Pastor Leslie Comeaux officiating.
