Ruben Lee Faulk

Ruben Lee Faulk, 91, of Moss Bluff passed away peacefully in his home with his family at his side on Saturday July 15, 2023.

Ruben was a native of Lake Arthur and long-time resident of the Lake Area. He and his late wife, Viola Gibson Faulk settled in Moss Bluff where they raised their family and where he retired from J & J Exterminating. Ruben enjoyed a good cup of coffee and spending time sitting on his porch with his favorite dog, Bella, at his side. Ruben was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church.

In addition to his beloved wife of 47 years, Ruben is preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Mamie Ellen Broussard Faulk and siblings, Hattie Belle McDaniel and Wilbert Faulk. Those left to cherish and honor his memory are his children, Russell Faulk (Lorie), Cypress, TX; Melissa Owens, Moss Bluff; Paula Hosie (Shane), Moss Bluff and Kristy Ezell (Jeremy), Iowa; grandchildren, Hayden Faulk, Haylee Faulk, Ashley Anderson (Cody), Lance Owens, Andrew Bertrand (Jacklyn), Joshua Boudoin (Abby), Julie Rogers (Christopher), Hannah Hosie, Cayson Sanders, Jordan  Sanders and Jacob Sanders; five great grandchildren, Nicholas McPherson, Isaac Bertrand, Benjamin Rogers, Adalyn Anderson and Lucas Anderson as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family of the heart.

Visitation will be on Tuesday July 18, 2023 at the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake St., Lake Charles, LA 70605 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Visitation resumes on Wednesday at the funeral home at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. Father Aubrie Guilbeau will officiate. Burial, alongside his beloved wife, will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the many people who helped them in this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to help offset the final expenses @paula-hosie (Venmo).
