Ruby Marie Guidry Ramoin

December 31, 1924 — November 20, 2012

Ruby Marie (Guidry) Ramoin December 31, 1924November 20, 2012. Ruby was born in Church Point, Louisiana to Louis and Lucille (Richard) Guidry and was the youngest of three siblings. She was preceded in death by her sister, Iris, and brother Curley. Ruby married her high school sweetheart, Early Ramoin on November 15, 1943 while on military furlough. Ruby and Early were truly united in their 69 years together. They were a remarkable couple, devoted to each other, and were meant to share this life together as evidenced by her husband's passing only 9 hours after her death.

Ruby graduated top of her class but she chose to use her many gifts in a life of devotion and service to her family. She was a selfless wife and dedicated Mom always making sure her family's needs were met. Ruby made the best gumbo and made sure all the family favorites (pies, pralines, cakes) were always there when we came home. She was an exceptional homemaker and an elegant lady but could handle the toughest days on the farm with Early. She deeply loved her family and often said there was no place on earth she'd rather be than where she lived with her family.

She taught us the wisdom-of-life through her steadfast faith and love. She showed us how to have courage in uncertain times, strength-of-spirit in sad times, and to always love. She loved to talk tete-a-tete with her children and we will miss her deeply caring heart and loving conversations most of all. Her unwavering faith instilled Christian values in her children. She lived her everyday life as a prayer praying to and thanking God in all things throughout the day. Ruby's sweetness and love and gracious spirit remained with her through the end of her days.

Proverbs 31:28 Her children rise up and call her blessed. Her beloved family includes 4 children: Henrietta Henri (Van) Rembert, Jolene Ramoin (Dale Wood), Kenneth (Cathy) Ramoin, and Gerald (Carolee) Ramoin; 9 grandchildren: Jade (Joyce) Rembert, Lonny (Suzanne) Wearin, Roxanne (Dana) Platt, Lauren (Thomas) Morgan, Joshua Ramoin, Holton Ramoin, Guidry Ramoin, Isabella Ramoin, and Juliana Ramoin. 6 great grandchildren: Alana Rembert, Braden Platt, Zachary Wearin, Bennett Platt, Lucas Morgan, and Thomas Wearin.

Ruby, adoringly known as the precious rose to her family, blessed our lives and generations to come with a depth of love and faith that only those that knew her could understand! The testament of a life well lived is the love she left behind and Ruby transitioned from this life with amazing grace and enduring love!

Our family extends heartfelt thanks to the caregivers at Southern Care Hospice and Emeritus for their services and love given so graciously to our Mom. Memorial donations can be made to Meals-on-Wheels.
