Ruby Trouard Chapman

Ruby Marie Trouard Chapman, 90, of Lake Charles passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013 in a local healthcare facility.

Mrs. Chapman was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. Her greatest joy was her family as she devoted her life and love to her husband, children and grandchildren. She was of Catholic faith.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Barbara Chapman Hearn and husband John of Sulphur; one son, Thomas M. Chapman and wife Ruby (Ange) of Lake Charles; four grandchildren, Thomas M. Chapman, Jr. and Russell H. Chapman, both of Lake Charles, Christopher S. Hearn of Havelock, NC and Lily DeRouen of Lake Charles; ten great-grandchildren and one sister, Lillian Deshotel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer T. Chapman; parents, Jimmy and Mary Trouard; one brother, Clifford Trouard and two sisters, Beulah Carpenter and Mildred Bodin.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, February 22, 2013 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon George Carr will officiate. Interment will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation Friday will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
