Rudy "Butch" Simon

Rudy “Butch” Simon, 68, of Lake Charles, LA died Saturday, March 19, 2016 in a local hospital.

Rudy was born on July 30, 1947 in Sulphur, LA to Morris and Mary Simon. He enjoyed growing plants, hunting, and fishing. Rudy also enjoyed racecars.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Ashley Thibodeaux and her husband Nick; his son, Vance Simon Reale and wife Delia; stepdaughter, Anita Miller; six grandchildren, Logan Lutz, Baleigh Simon, Ethan Thibodaux, Mercedez Thibodaux, Lyric Thibodaux, and Jessica Burnett; one great grandchild, Saniyah Gregory; eight siblings, Grace Roe, Judy Miller and husband Robert, Morris Simon Jr. and wife Linda, Roger Simon and wife Vickie, Jimmy Simon and wife Bonnie, Larry Simon, Chris Simon and partner Bourrigue “Lefty”, and Glen Simon; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Lynn Simon; parents; and brother, AJ. Simon.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Monday, March 28, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM Monday, March 28, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Gardens. Rev. David Richard will officiate.
