Russel Wayne Conrad

Our Buddy Russ signed off on March 31, 2023 at his home studio.  He was born April 4^th, 1983 in Lake Charles, La.

Russ was preceded in death by grandparents Wayne N. Sr. and Jessie M. Conrad; Russel “Curly” and Bessie J. Clouser; Uncle Wayne N. Conrad Jr. and cousin Jeri Sasso.

He is Survived by his parents David E. Conrad and Elizabeth “Beth” Conrad. Aunts and uncles-Lynda Jane Jones, Frank and Robin Conrad, Kaye and Dan Kuss, Judy Conrad, Patsy and Rick Farmer, Angie and Russell Sylvester.  Cousins Terri Conrad, Karen Conrad, Cheryl Amoroso, Mark Conrad, Marcy Conrad, Megan Callahan, Jessica Williamson, Mitchell Brown, Brandon Sylvester, Sarah<3 Bess Brown, Nathan Sylvester. Russ’ Gator 99.5 family, and his beloved Dude Party.

He graduated from Barbe High School in 2001 and attended Sowela Technical College and McNeese State University.

Russ was employed at Bennigans, Southern Tire Mart, L’auberge as A/V Tech and Entertainment Manager.  He became our beloved “Buddy Russ” at Gator 99.5.  Russ was a co-founder of Seven Slot Society and was involved in many charities.

Visitation to be held Monday, April 3, 2023 beginning 4pm to 8pm at Trinity Baptist Church-Central Venue. Visitation will resume Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 4pm til time of service. Celebration of his life led by Randy Monroe will begin at 6pm.

We would like to thank all his caregivers at Baton Rouge General Medical Care Center, Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, M.D. Anderson, Lake Charles Memorial Hospital Oncology Center, and Harbor Hospice.

In Lieu of flowers donations maybe made to St. Judes Childern’s Research, M.D. Anderson or locally to Brennan’s Blessings and Colors For A Cause-Louisiana Chapter.

Family invites all to wear his favorite color. All that glitters is GOLD.
