Ruth Delaine Stout

Ruth Delaine Stout, 82, of Lake Charles died at 12:34 PM on Friday, January 30, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Stout was born on July 17, 1932 in Dequincy, LA and lived all of her life in Lake Charles. She retired from her husband's business, Stout Real Estate. Mrs. Stout had a strong faith and was a devoted member of Sale Street Baptist Church. She will be remembered for her sewing, cooking, and gardening. Mrs. Stout adored her family and time spent with them. She will be missed by many. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 67 years, Roy Lee Stout; three sons, Robert Lynn, Roger Loy, and Randall Louis Stout; two sisters, Erble Cryer Ponton and Carrie Cryer Ponton; a brother, John Elton "Buddy" Cryer; and her grandchildren, Robbie, Hobin, Jarib, Andrew, and Alexander Stout; and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Loy and Mattie Cryer and a brother, Loy Cryer, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 in the chapel at the Johnson Funeral Home. The Rev. Hugh Wallis will officiate. Burial will follow at the Highland Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.
