Ruth Gustavia Grillett

Ruth Gustavia Grillett, 88, of Lake Charles died at 3:34 PM on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 in a local hospital. Mrs. Grillett was born on February 24, 1926 in Leesville, LA. She lived in Lake Charles most of her life before moving to Moss Bluff in 1984. She was a graduate of Orange High School. Mrs. Grillett belonged to St. Theodore Catholic Church. Those left to cherish her memory are a sister-in-law, Ada Paris of Gillis and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, David Charles Grillett; a brother, James Paris; and three sisters, Hazel Dickson, Abby Cox, and Loretta Bean. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 18, 2014 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Monsignor Charles Dubois will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will resume on Saturday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
