Ruth Marie D'Ziggel Standley

Ruth Marie D’Ziggel Standley, 78, of Lake Charles passed away at 4:30 AM on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Standley was born on December 9, 1942, in St. Paul, Minnesota, and was raised in Deer Park, Texas, where she graduated from Deer Park High School.  She and her husband lived in Sealy, Texas, for 26 years before moving to Trinity, Texas, upon retirement.  Mrs. Standley moved to Lake Charles to be near her son three years ago when her husband passed away. 

She will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Jason Standley (Tracy) of Lake Charles, and Brian Standley (Jaime) of Houston, TX; and her beloved grandchildren, Kyla, John, and Matthew.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Johnny Lee Standley; her parents, Mary and Elmer D’Ziggel; and a sister, Delores.

Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
